L.B.D. (linen black dress)

I love linen! Out of all the natural fibers that I work with, I love linen the most. It’s versatility, breathability and texture are irreplaceable. Its wrinkles are part of the fabric’s uniqueness. Linen embodies casual luxe. The cut-out style has been trending for the past couple of years. I was having a hard time finding a dress with this style, in a fabric that I Iiked. I decided to make my own. McCall’s pattern M8252 (R11416) was perfect for me. The pattern is categorized as “Average” and I would agree. I made a couple of variations. I elongated the top portion of the dress and added pockets. I love pockets on dresses! If I had my way, they would be a requirement on all women’s dresses!
